Position Summary
A growing international eCommerce support agency is hiring for multiple Remote Chat Support positions to help manage customer inquiries through live messaging platforms. This opportunity is fully remote and designed for individuals who may not have a college degree or formal job experience. Whether you're looking to earn reliable income from home or seeking a career change into remote work, this role offers a smooth entry point with full training and no phone work involved.
As a Remote Chat Support Agent, you'll assist customers with basic order questions, product inquiries, and account navigation through real-time chat tools. Your work will involve text-based communication only—no voice or video support required. All responses are guided through prewritten scripts, internal documentation, and AI-powered suggestions that make customer engagement efficient and straightforward. This is a contract-based position with flexible shifts and consistent weekly pay.
What You'll Be Doing
Responding to Customer Messages
You’ll manage incoming messages from customers seeking help with their shopping experience. This includes questions about product availability, return policies, checkout issues, shipping times, and discounts.
Following Scripted Responses and Guidelines
Most responses are handled using approved messaging templates. You’ll also have access to an internal knowledge base that provides quick reference answers and troubleshooting steps for various issues.
Transferring Complex Requests
Any chats requiring supervisor-level support—like refund disputes or account problems—are routed to a senior agent using a simple escalation workflow.
Tagging and Reporting Conversations
At the end of each chat, you’ll label the conversation type, note the resolution status, and file the chat for quality control. This is done through drop-down tags and short summaries.
Managing Several Chats Simultaneously
During higher-traffic periods, you may work on 2–4 live conversations at once. The chat interface is designed for easy navigation between active windows to ensure you never miss a beat.
A Day in the Life
At the start of your shift, you’ll log into the chat support platform using your home computer. You’ll check for team updates, review any changes to scripts, and begin accepting new customer chats. Throughout the day, you’ll interact with customers using professional, friendly text responses, occasionally checking in with the team lead through the support channel. After your final chat, simply log off—there are no meetings or calls required before or after shifts.
