Position Summary
A remote content team is seeking Entry-Level Publishing Technicians to help prepare, refine, and release nonfiction Kindle books using guided tools and AI support. This fully remote opportunity is tailored for individuals with no previous writing experience, no college degree, and no technical background. If you're looking for an organized, system-driven way to create digital assets that pay long after the work is done—this is your path.
This is not a writing job in the traditional sense. You won’t be crafting prose from scratch or working with clients. Instead, you’ll work within a proven workflow that uses AI prompts, formatting templates, and publishing checklists to build functional nonfiction eBooks. Each project becomes part of a long-term portfolio that generates monthly income via Amazon's Kindle platform.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll follow a clear, repeatable process to bring each book to life—without needing to invent anything from scratch.
Research Profitable Topics
You'll begin by identifying nonfiction subjects that are known to sell. Using built-in search and ranking filters, you’ll uncover categories where reader demand is high but competition is low. No creative ideation required—just data-backed decision-making.
Generate and Organize Book Content
Once a topic is selected, you’ll use AI platforms like ChatGPT to create the core content. Structured prompts and pre-built outlines allow you to guide the AI output into a clean, organized nonfiction book draft. Your role is to refine, organize, and ensure consistency—not to write from scratch.
Format for Kindle
You’ll format each manuscript for publication using simple layout guides and Kindle-specific requirements. This includes setting headers, applying spacing, and ensuring chapter alignment. All formatting steps are laid out in checklist form and require no prior publishing knowledge.
Optimize Book Listing Information
You’ll apply tested headline formulas to write book titles and subtitles, use keyword templates for Amazon visibility, and create concise product descriptions that are designed to convert browsers into buyers. These are all structured—you won’t need to figure it out on your own.
Upload and Publish
After content and metadata are finalized, you’ll upload the book to Amazon’s KDP platform. You’ll complete the process using a pre-launch checklist, finalize your submission, and move on to the next title. Over time, your published library becomes a compound asset that pays monthly.
What You’ll Use
All Publishing Technicians receive access to a full production toolkit, which includes:
- Structured AI content prompts
- Validated nonfiction topic frameworks
- Kindle formatting templates
- Metadata optimization worksheets
- Title and description writing guides
- Upload instructions for Kindle Direct Publishing
- Book tracking and royalty logging spreadsheets
The system is designed to work even if you’ve never published before.
What You Need to Bring
You don’t need credentials or a creative background. You need:
- A desktop or laptop computer
- Basic comfort using Google Docs or Word
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
- Self-direction to work independently and consistently
This role is based on execution—not invention.
Earnings Structure
This is not an hourly or salaried job. You earn through Amazon’s royalty program, which pays monthly based on each book’s sales and Kindle Unlimited performance. Books remain published permanently and continue to generate income month after month.
Realistic projections based on consistent publishing:
- 1 book: $50–$200/month
- 5 books: $300–$1,000/month
- 10+ books: $2,000+/month
Your income grows as your catalog grows.
Who This Role is Ideal For
This position is well suited for:
- Remote workers looking to build a scalable income
- People interested in publishing but intimidated by writing
- Beginners who want to start a portfolio of digital assets
- Those seeking flexible work they can do on their own schedule
- Anyone tired of hourly work or unpredictable freelance gigs
If you like the idea of doing repeatable work that adds up over time, you’ll find this role extremely satisfying.
